Key Activities

Leverage your network with the architecture and design community to generate leads and build long-term client relationships.
Present and sell our limited-edition rugs, highlighting their artistic value, craftsmanship, and unique qualities.
Conduct thorough research to provide clients with a comprehensive understanding of the benefits and features of our designs and materials.
Participate in design community events, art exhibits, and design shows to promote our brand and engage with potential clients.
Perform cold calling and follow-ups to nurture and close sales opportunities.
Collaborate with our artisans and design team to stay informed about new collections and bespoke offerings.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in interior design, art history, architecture, business or liberal arts.
• Proven experience in sales withing the luxury market, preferably with a background in art history, gallery management, or high-end design.
• Strong connections within the interior design and architectural community.
• Exceptional storytelling skills with the ability to convey the history and artistry behind each rug.
• Bold, driven, and unafraid to cold call and pursue new business opportunities.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently.

We are seeking sophisticated and dynamic Sales professionals with a deep appreciation for art history and design. The ideal candidate will have the expertise to sell our limited-edition rugs to top-tier interior designers, collectors and architects. This role requires a blend of artistic knowledge, sales acumen, and the ability to weave compelling narratives around our unique pieces. This position is full-time and onsite at our Gallery located in New York at the 200 Lex Design Center.
Merida is an artisan workshop based in Fall River, Ma. Our team of artisans and craftsmen work with our Artistic Director to make limited edition rugs as part of our Atelier series and unlimited edition rugs that are designed for stairs and other custom applications. Our mission is to create textiles as art. To achieve our goal we cultivate craftsmanship, collaboration and excellence in our workshop and believe that if there is joy in the making there will be joy for the receiver. Our clients are discerning interior designers, collectors, and architects, who curate and construct luxury, high-end residential properties.
