Story | How do you make a statement against sexual assault at major summer events in Zurich, where many people party in revealing outfits? By drawing attention to the problem where it makes the most sense: on the bare skin. Together with the city of Zurich, the city police and the Bar and Club Commission Zurich (BCK), the "Give your Skin a Voice" campaign was launched. Temporary tattoos were produced for this campaign, making strong statements in favour of self-determination, tolerance and awareness against sexual harassment. The tattoos were distributed in places where there is a potential risk of sexual assault at major Zurich festivals and in over 20 nightclubs. Over 10,000 tattoos ended up on the skin of women and men who confidently raised their voices against sexual assault. The "Give your Skin a Voice" tattoos were the must-have item for summer 2023. Major media outlets across the country reported on the campaign and the debate about sexual harassment was reopened. This shows that awareness has been created for an issue that should be a thing of the past. Because sexual harassment is out - respecting boundaries is in. |
