Brief | As farmhands stride through barley fields, the narrator intones: “This was supposed to be an epic brand film for Koskenkorva vodka.” It would have featured snow-topped mountains, a fancy downtown and vivid nightlife, he adds. Instead we get rural scenes and a shack with a faltering neon sign. There are no limousines, rappers or supermodels either. Just tractors, trucks and hard-working women. In fact, the village has little more than barley and water. “It doesn’t make a great brand film. But it makes an excellent vodka.” Koskenkorva: vodka from a village. |
