Liza Dunning has spent 16 years shaping brand identities, creative campaigns, and content as a writer, creative director, and brand consultant. She has crafted award-winning work for some of the most beloved startups and global companies alike.
As a founding member and Brand Director at Scoutmob, Liza redefined the company’s identity, voice, and content strategy, transforming it from its original business model. She built a community-driven brand that celebrated local businesses, launched in 14 markets, and scaled content operations nationwide.
In 2014, Liza joined Airbnb’s in-house creative team during its transformative rebrand. As the first brand writer on the team, she helped shape the voice of one of the world’s most recognized community-driven brands. She crafted compelling narratives around hosts and guests, created mission-driven brand films, and contributed to award-winning campaigns, including Airbnb’s Super Bowl campaign, #WeAccept. Her work earned Webby and Shorty Awards and a nod from Fast Company as a “Damn Impressive Brand Troll.”
Beyond her in-house roles, Liza has consulted as a writer and brand strategist for companies like Slack, GoFundMe, Glassdoor, Serena & Lily, and Viceroy Hotels, helping them establish their voice, identity, and content strategies across channels.
