Titleתוהו ובוהו (tohu wa bohu) by Itamar Makover of Israel, an interpretation of 'Chaos'
BriefItamar Makover, Israel‘There’s a phrase in Hebrew – תוהו ובוהו (tohu wa bohu) – which comes from the first lines of the Old Testament and is often translated as chaos.‘It expresses the state of the world before Creation when the earth was “without form, and void”.‘This state is what I’ve tried to convey in my piece, using the hand to hint at a conscious creator who initiates the beginning of some sort of order in an environment that is innately chaotic and without shape.’
