| Brief | VinziRast is one of Austria's most important institutions for homeless people. In order to collect donations and to ensure that the matters of homeless people are seen and heard even in the overshadowing corona crisis, we have crafted memorials that demonstrated the important social role of VinziRast. By using material that unambiguously symbolizes the sad situation of unsheltered people: Cardboard boxes that former homeless people used to sleep under were collected and assembled to life-sized cardboard figures. Each figure tells the true story of a previously homeless person who finally found a home at VinziRast’s night shelters or social housings.Every figure had a QR-Code that could be scanned to hear the audio story behind the person. |
