Why did you think it was important to join the PHNX jury this year?
I believe it's a festival that is setting a new paradigm regarding the vision of what's happening in the current advertising world. It's always essential to be part of moments of change and vision in this industry that we love so much.
What do you think of our hybrid jury, featuring creatives but also strategists, clients and people from all corners of the industry?
I firmly believe it's a challenging and interesting vision that significantly helps strengthen personal judgment within the process. It aids in questioning different factors that are always relevant, resulting in more refined and accurate criteria.
What do you think of the idea of free entry until the shortlist stage?
I think the idea of it being free at the beginning creates the opportunity to have the highest level of participation possible, but the fact that it has a price already at the preselection level helps ensure that each entry is more carefully considered when selecting the pieces.
How would you define the perfect PHNX Awards winner?
PHNX highlights the diverse perspectives of professionals from around the world, providing a more holistic and professional view of the entire process. Being part of the jury represents an extraordinary exercise of high-level professionalism for those involved. The Perfect Winner of PHNX is someone who has gone through a tremendous amount of filters, as they have managed to pass through a select international jury from different parts of the world; this winner could also excel in any high-level field worldwide.
What is having the biggest impact on creative trends at the moment?
We live in an industry that is constantly changing, and I believe we are at a historic moment where the importance of ideas is more critical than ever. Maintaining a healthy creative process and understanding that great ideas are the only enduring aspect, as forms are always evolving.

The greatest impact on creative trends at this moment is being manifested in the use of artificial intelligence throughout the world of ideas and creativity, and how the industry is harnessing social paradigm shifts to create new social conversations through brave and disruptive ideas.
Who would you nominate as your two or three “creatives of the year”?
Without a doubt, I would nominate Anselmo Ramos and Gastón Bigio due to the high creative level of their work and the quality of leadership they are demonstrating with their teams worldwide. They are pushing this process and work towards all Latin American creativity, taking it to another level.
