PHNX Jury Interview 2024

Why did you think it was important to join the PHNX jury this year?
I'm really excited about an award that takes a new approach. It's not just about creativity in communication but shaking things up everywhere. We've got to experiment, push boundaries, and set new standards. That's what this award is all about, and I'm ready to help make it happen.
What do you think of our hybrid jury, featuring creatives but also strategists, clients and people from all corners of the industry?
Many opportunities lie within this format. The key here will be that creatives and industry representatives are speaking the same language, sharing the same goals and parameters. If that happens, the award can do important work.
What do you think of the idea of free entry until the shortlist stage?
This is truly amazing and revolutionary, and I hope this format gains widespread acceptance. Creativity and excellent communication shouldn't be accessible only to an elite.
How would you define the perfect PHNX Awards winner?
Here too, the rule should be: the most creative, best idea wins! The winners shouldn't fall short of those from other traditional festivals. The PHNX winner sets a new era of the highest creative standards.
What is having the biggest impact on creative trends at the moment?
No surprise here. Even as we write this, the next evolutionary stage of AI is already kicking in, reshaping the world. It will be about how we deal with it. However, the idea will always emerge victorious.
Who would you nominate as your two or three “creatives of the year”?
Nadine Müller, my partner.
