As Chief Creative Officer of the Americas, Toygar focuses on strengthening Havas’ creative capabilities and building a community among creative teams throughout North and South America.
Toygar was born in Turkey and grew up in Germany, where he began his career. He later gained over 10 years of international experience in New York, São Paulo, and Boston.
Before returning to New York as Executive Creative Director at BBDO, he was the Chief Creative Officer of BBDO Germany, where he brought the agency back into the creative rankings. In 2007, Toygar helped BBDO Germany become the country’s most awarded network at Cannes. In subsequent years he led German and U.S. agencies to multiple Gold and Silver Lions for brands including Mercedes, Gillette, Braun, and smart—one of which was the first-ever Gold Radio Lion for any German agency. In 2015 he was a member of the Cannes jury for the Outdoor category.
As a result of working and living around the world, Toygar developed a passion for international brands, leading a dozen of them to win Cannes Lions in eight different categories.
