Nigel Simpkiss

Nigel's name has become synonymous with the award winning Top Gear, but he has also worked directly for some of the world’s leading car brands including : Audi, BMW, Cadillac, Jaguar, Lexus, Land Rover, Honda, Aston Martin, John Deere, Toyota, Renault, Fiat, Maserati, Jeep and many more.

Nigel was the original director on Top Gear and was hired to re-vamp the long-running show. He thought it would last a series or two but was surprised when it became an overnight sensation. Top Gear now attracts over 300 million viewers in 80 countries worldwide.

Since its re-launch Top Gear has won numerous prestigious awards including an EMMY, a BANFF and the show has received numerous BAFTA and other nominations.

Over the years Nigel has directed some of the shows most memorable films.

In all Nigel has directed over 200 items and 3 feature length specials: The “Polar Special”, The “Africa Special” and the “South America Special”. He has also directed numerous road trips in Europe and the USA.
