Alastair graduated from Cambridge University in 1994 with a first class honours degree in Social and Political Sciences. In 1995, he began as a planner at TBWA. For the first two years he elaborated tools and animated seminars to enrich the agency proprietary method, Disruption. After that time he moved from theory to practice, developing communication for international and French brands. He was the global Strategic Planner on financial services brands (AXA, BNP Paribas), alcoholic drinks (Absolut Vodka- Europe and Asia- Chivas Regal, Martell), Transport (Eurostar and French Railways) and food/retail (McDonald’s in Europe, China, and global programmes for the Olympics and Child Nutrition). He joined Publicis in 2008, as International Planning Director and has worked for companies such as BNP Paribas, Cap Gemini, Carrefour, Heineken, Pernod-Ricard, Nestlé, as well as being part of the network planning team developing Lead the change, the Publicis Worldwide strategic method.
