Luc Missinne became managing director of Porter Novelli in Belgium after successfully merging his own company, Ellips Communication, with Countrywide Porter Novelli Brussels in 2000. Today, in addition to serving as managing director of Porter Novelli’s offices in Belgium and France, Luc is a senior partner and member of the Executive Committee and acts in close concert with the Central and Eastern European agencies in the network.
As DAS ambassador for Benelux, he closely works with all companies of the Omnicom family in the Benelux region. An adviser to many large corporations on both a local and international level, Luc specializes in corporate and crisis and issues management, with extensive expertise in the management of reputation. Over the years, he has developed a specific knowledge of environmental issues for both commercial and government clients. Luc served as spokesman for P&O Stena Line in Belux for more than 10 years. He has also developed numerous guidelines and training programs on how to handle internal and external communications effectively.
A guest lecturer at several universities, Luc is Flemish, speaks fluent French and English and has a good knowledge of German and Spanish. He earned his undergraduate degree in Roman philology from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven Campus Kortrijk, Belgium, and his masters in communication management from Arteveldehogeschool Gent, Belgium.
