An advertising Creative-Director turned filmmaker, Mary-Sue specialises in brilliantly observed comedy performance work.
She has worked with many advertising agencies and TV networks including UKTV, Comedy Central and the BBC (where she trained at Elstree Studios in performance direction).
Mary-Sue’s agency background and transition to directing means she has tremendous experience in taking commercials and content from script to screen. No better is this in evidence than with her Haribo ‘Kid’s Voices’ campaign (which Mary-Sue wrote and directed). Named as the most impactful ad of 2015 by Nielsen, it was also nominated at the 2016 Craft Awards for ‘Best Use of Recorded Sound’ and the campaign has since gone on to be remade in Spain, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, France and the U.S.A!
In between making commercials, Mary-Sue is currently developing a comedy mini-series.
