After he graduated from The Surrey Institute of Art and Design, Tom worked as the visual artist for bands and acts such as Aphex Twin, Animal Collective, Peaches and Four Tet, providing live visuals for their performances.
Burning the candle at both ends, he trained as an editor then started working for BBC & Channel 4 cutting and shooting everything he could get his hands on. That segued into him making award winning music videos courtesy of his love for all things arty and got him his first Cads nomination for Best New Director.
He’s gone on to make an enviable reel of promos for the likes of Jon Hopkins, Temper Trap, White Denim, Civil Wars and UNKLE; whilst writing. and directing some stand out short films, like Luminarias and Night of the Foxes, both picking up great notices both in festivals and online.
