Julien Faure is a director and designer. In 2001, he started studying product design, then carried on to interior architecture. Five years later, he met producer Jean-Jacques Benhamou from Mac Guff, who introduced him to the world of animation and pushed him to get a master’s degree in Arts at Penninghen. He then started developing characters and universes, for projects such as Rock the Boat, Brice de Nice, TocToc, Moris & Rodney and Fauv Squad. It is by getting behind the camera that Julien managed to fulfil his dream of mixing character design with live action shooting. Since then, he has developed a strong sense of detail, a deep sensibility of aesthetics and a sharp look on common everyday objects. His films are a mix of live action and graphic design, and tell stories in an original way. He enjoys diversity and tries to develop unique films.
