He refused to believe and didn't understand the reason for the separation proposed by his ex-girlfriend. He believes that he has tried very hard to maintain this relationship: by buying presents, made phone calls on time, and as well say I love you a hundred times, repeats. He wishes to do something just to change her mind. Perhaps all he wanted was a lousy response on the other end of the phone. The phone was connected the night as he got drunk.
