Alex Winckler

Alex began his directing career on COWARDS, a BBC 3 Sketch show with Tim Key (Perrier Award Winner 2010) and Tom Basden (Perrier Newcomer 2009) before launching himself into the world with his BAFTA-nominated short film RALPH. This early success led him into a two-year stint directing one of Britain’s most popular continuing dramas, along with a recent stint on My Mad Fat Diary for Channel 4, not to mention a plethora of comedy vehicles for E4, BBC and Hat Trick.

He has now brought his considerable directing talents to the world of commercials and content, creating spots for clients like Microsoft and Barclaycard and working with comic talents including Ed Byrne, Russel Kane, Stephen Mangan and James Fleet.
