Starting out as a starving actor, Jay paid the bills working on political campaigns and sales. Imagine his delight upon discovering he could combine all three into a career in advertising.
Since that glorious epiphany, Jay has been leading planning and creative strategy for nearly two decades for brands such as Smartcar, Blackberry, Dr. Pepper, Verizon Wireless, HUMMER, MiniUSA, Columbia Sportswear, GMC and more. He brought planning to Strawberry Frog, Amsterdam in the late nineties, and since then has worked with numerous independently owned advertising agencies, including The Richards Group, Modernista and Butler Shine Stern & Partners.
As Director of Brand Planning at MMB, Jay is responsible for the overall strategic direction for MMB's client work. Outside of the office you can find Jay spending time with his wife and daughter, playing guitar, sipping wine like a Prussian magnate or some combination of the three.
