My name was supposed to be Kesley. Yes, Kesley.
It was March 19, 1993. A truck driver was driving on the roads of São Paulo with a bandana (those things that are placed behind the truck, displaying messages) that said, “Wesley and Kesley”. The truck driver’s wife was waiting for him in Tubarão/SC with a date set for the end. It was his last trip before the birth of their second child: the boy, Kesley. This was definitely no ordinary trip.
But “life” didn't want it that way. On that day, returning home, the truck driver was assaulted, beaten, and worse: he was left without that old trusty companion that gave everything to the family.
In the midst of the assault, the poor truck driver said: “No! No! My son is yet to be born,” but what he didn't yet know was, I was born that day.
My name is Saymon. They changed my name. I was born on the road. And on the road, I will remain.
To cut a long story short: I am Saymon Souza Medeiros, Creative Senior Art Director, 27 years old.
