Director at 2AM films
London, United Kingdom

About me

Steve is a globally acclaimed director, who is very well known for creating highly crafted, cinematic commercials with story-telling narratives mixed with his signature stamp of wry humour. That coupled with his seamless integration of post-production, impeccable performance and exciting sound design. It’s no wonder he is the very top of his game.

Most recently Steve shot ‘Sensory Overload’ his awareness film for the National Autistic Society which through the use of heightened sound design and post production effects intelligently simulates the actual experiences of sensory overloading for the viewer – it went on to win a Clio Bronze. And his clever and thought provoking spot for the NCDV – National Campaign against Domestic Violence was shortlisted for a Cannes Lion.

Aside from making commercials, Steve has been collaborating with the artist Christian Furr developing a feature length documentary about the late great Chris Bracey – the charismatic sign maker who designed and made all the iconic neon signs for the sex clubs of Soho in the seventies and eighties. The film focuses on Chris’ struggle to be taken seriously as an artist and his subsequent journey from the tough and seedy streets of Soho to the glamour and glitz of the international art world.
