As CEO of Craft, the global production unit of McCann Worldgroup, Ed oversees a global team of more than 1,000 employees that handles print, digital, video post-production, transcreation, translation, programmatic, creative content production and delivery services.
With more than 15 studios around the world, Craft offers bespoke, efficient and highly effective production models, and works with such world-class companies and brands as Aldi, Bayer, Coca-Cola, General Motors, L’Oréal, Microsoft and Staples.
Ed also serves as Executive VP, Head of Operations, of McCann Worldgroup, in which he plays a leading role in business planning and network growth strategy, and works with key operating unit leadership teams to improve operating performance and evaluate acquisition targets. Additionally, he maintains overall responsibility for the Human Resource and Information Technology functions of Worldgroup.
Ed joined McCann Worldgroup in January 2013, after serving for more than a decade as COO at Interpublic Group’s CMG division, which includes Weber Shandwick, Golin, FutureBrand, Jack Morton, and other communications firms. For several years, 2004-2006, he moved to Interpublic’s Lowe Worldwide, where he played a key role in restructuring the organization, improving operating performance, and revamping the finance, corporate communications, human resources and IT functions. He also devoted much of his time to the important growth markets of China and India.
From 1987-2001, he served as COO and managed the business operations of BSMG Worldwide. In 2001, he was an integral part of the leadership team that drove the merger of BSMG Worldwide with Weber Shandwick, at the time the largest merger in the history of the PR industry. He was named COO of the newly merged company.
Ed and his wife have four children and he enjoys running, skiing, golfing and being near the ocean during the warmer weather.
