About me

Georgia Miliopoulou has been a member of the Deree faculty since 2015. She has taught courses in media management, marketing, and creative advertising, in the Cyprus University of Technology, Panteion University, and various Technological Institutions. She currently teaches undergraduate courses in advertising and communication, as well as graduate courses in the field of the digital and social media. Her research interests include creativity, content, strategic storytelling, and the organizational factors affecting brand communication. She has over 25 years of experience as a creative executive in multinational advertising agencies, still offering workshops and consulting services to the Hellenic Institute of Communication and various other organizations. She is a member of the Women In Business (WIB) Committee of the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce.

Education

M.A., PhD in Branding, Culture and Communication

2003 - 2008 (5 years)
In 2003 Zozeta took written exams in order to be accepted to the Masters' Program entitled: "Cultural Policy, Management and Communication". She was accepted with the highest degree and graduated first in her class (9.71/10) thus being awarded a scholarship from the National Scholarship Foundation. Immediately after graduation, she started working on her Ph.D. thesis entitled: "Narrative & symbolic brand indentity: contemporary consumption trends examined via the social and cultural role of brands in Greece". Her thesis was accepted and graded with 10/10.
