Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Tracy Block grew up surrounded by the boom of the Magic City. Block pursued her bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications. When she returned to Miami, she stood firm in her decision to plant the seeds to grow her career in her hometown.
Block got her start as a lifestyle magazine editor in 2006, and later took on defining positions with esteemed brands under companies like Zagat and Google, AOL and Huffington Post and NBC.
Block’s top priority was to make a name for herself as a seasoned lifestyle and entertainment writer/editor, while covering a variety of topics for both print and online media outlets. Her work has been published locally, regionally, nationally and internationally.
Block’s beats have allowed her to focus on a range of editorial, including nightlife, events, music, food and beverage, fashion and beauty, health and wellness, travel and cannabis.
In 2013, Block accepted an influential role as the content team manager at a Miami internet marketing agency, where she recruited, structured and oversaw a team of more than 15 writers and editors, contributed to hundreds of websites – with a strong focus on SEO – and developed a plethora of different media products.
To combine her perfected skillset, Block set out to form Block Media Worldwide LLC in 2016. She currently owns and operates the versatile content consultancy, and employs/manages a talented team of self-recruited freelance writers and editors.
Over the course of her decorated, 14-year career, Block has worked with more than 100 clients. The self-proclaimed content chameleon continues to answer diverse and progressive calls to further advance in her field.
