Tree Petts, founder of the Casting Directors’ Association (set up to withhold standards in the industry), is an established, award winning London and UK based casting director catering for major clients both in the UK and internationally.

Having cast over 1500 commercials, numerous films, photographic and online projects, Tree specialises in traditional casting (finding actors/models), street casting, working with children (Tree Petts is fully DBS checked) and is a passionate advocate for diversity in all aspects of casting.

With over 20 years’ experience Tree has built up a comprehensive database of 'real' people. Her widely known expertise in street casting has seen her find a very diverse mix of people worldwide (most recently Philippines and USA) and often works with global brands in multiple markets. Tree endeavours to hold casting sessions herself as she feels it is one of the most important parts of the casting process. Her ability to accurately interpret directors’ needs and casting briefs is evident in her casting sessions.

Having worked in production as well as having a 15 year acting career means Tree is knowledgeable about the fast pace of commercial casting and is adept at extracting performances from people.

Known for her energy, passion, experience and knowledge Tree Petts has worked on many award winning commercials, advertising campaigns, films and music videos .

Specialising in commercial castings and street casting, Tree is also widely respected for casting children due to her ability to extract performances from even the most reserved child. She has cast children with a broad range of skills including break-dancers, yo-yoists, swimmers, footballers, cheerleaders, skateboarders and gymnasts (to name a few) and has been involved in the licensing process from beginning to end.

Her widely known expertise in street casting has seen her sourcing people around the world, from adults in America who are learning to read, to women who are incontinent and happy to talk about it…along with the usual musicians, trampolinists, farmers, circus performers, bakers, lookalikes, tattooed people, clubbers and drag queens etc etc.
