Theodor LIHO

Theodor Liho (*1966, Ruse, BG) is visual artist, designer, researcher and senior educator in the Sofia Academy of Arts & Design, Advertising Design department, working in the fields of graphic and exhibition design, strategy build of advertising campaigns, new media and cross disciplinary art forms.

He studied in Sofia Gymnasium of Fine Arts (Graphic Arts 1980-85) and Sofia Academy of Arts (MA, Advertising Design department 1987-92). Take post-graduate classes in Free University of Brussels - VUB (2008-2009), master classes in Photography, Ceramic, Video Art, Set Design, New media (Post graduate certificates, 1999, 2002-2009 CAS, The Netherlands, 2010-2015 CAS, Germany). 2010 - Art Residence in Cite des Arts, Paris.
2017 PhD thesis with Subject: Changes in the Visual language and messages based on changes in the reproductive technologies and new media.

Theodor Liho has an international carrier with long list of solo and team art & design projects at Bulgaria, Romania, The Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, Serbia, Egypt, USA, Mexico, Japan, Korea and China...
He is jury member of many international graphic design and creative competitions in advertising;

Theodor Liho was guest lecturer in visual arts and workshops tutor in Mexico, The Netherlands, Belgium, Israel, Lithuania and Germany. His works are part of 17,18 and 19 CIIPE (Colorado International Invitational Poster Exhibition).
