Why did you think it was important to join the PHNX jury this year?
In The Flight of the Phoenix, an aircraft crashes in the middle of a desert. The storm blows the survivors far off the course. Despite all the challenges, they persist with unwavering hope and perseverance. In the end, the Phoenix takes off. Much like them, teams around the world put a lot of effort into their work against the odds. PHNX provides an equal chance to these projects that defy challenges. It'll be exciting to see which ones will take off.
What do you think of our hybrid jury, featuring creatives but also strategists, clients and people from all corners of the industry?
It's not just about ticking the diversity box, it's about making sure your work gets looked at from every angle. PHNX has succeeded in curating a panel of jurors that celebrates creativity in a way that feels like a big party where everyone's invited.
What do you think of the idea of free entry until the shortlist stage?
Many great ideas don't have a chance to showcase their potential exactly because of this reason. PHNX gives an equal playground where every cool concept gets a chance to show off what it's made of.
How would you define the perfect PHNX Awards winner?
Simple, undeniable, and makes you wanna run around the block.
What is having the biggest impact on creative trends at the moment?
Anything that makes us experience a story in new and meaningful ways; whether it is tech-oriented or stupidly smart.
